How do snapshots work?
A snapshot is a single analysis result of an AI model’s response to one prompt at a specific point in time.
Snapshot lifecycle
1. Trigger — the user starts a snapshot (or an automatic scheduler does)
2. Send — GEORate sends the prompt to the AI model
3. Response — the AI model generates the full text response
4. Analysis — GEORate analyzes the response:
├── Detects brand mentions (yours and competitors)
├── Determines the sentiment of each mention
├── Identifies ranking positions
├── Recognizes entities (companies, products)
└── Saves the full response
5. Metrics — calculated and saved to the dashboard
6. Alerts — checks whether alert conditions were triggered
What does a snapshot contain?
In the Snapshot Detail view (tabs):
| Tab | Content |
|---|---|
| Overview | Mentions, sentiment, ranking positions |
| Sources | Sources cited by AI |
| Full Response | Full text response from the AI model |
| Raw JSON | Raw analysis data |
Statuses
| Status | Description |
|---|---|
processing | Analysis in progress |
completed | Analysis completed |
failed | Error — reanalysis possible |
pending_reanalysis | Waiting for another analysis |
Reanalysis
If a snapshot ended with an error or you want to refresh results for old data, you can run reanalysis:
- In history, find a snapshot with status
failedorcompleted - Click Reanalyze
- GEORate will process the AI response again (the same original one)
Note: Reanalysis uses the original AI response — it does not ask the model again. Results may differ if GEORate analysis algorithms were updated.
Flagging snapshots
You can flag a snapshot if it contains incorrect analysis or if you want to highlight it for later review.
- In the snapshot view → click the flag icon
- Optionally add a note
- The snapshot will appear in the “Flagged” filters
