Reputation Score

Reputation Score measures the ratio of positive to negative mentions of your brand in AI responses.

Value range

Range: -1 to +1

-1.0All mentions are negative

In the UI it is displayed as a percentage (for example, +1.0 = 100%, 0 = 0%, -1.0 = -100%).

Formula

Reputation Score = (positive_mentions - negative_mentions) / all_mentions

Example

Your brand appears in 10 responses:

  • 7 with positive sentiment
  • 2 with neutral sentiment (not included in the formula)
  • 1 with negative sentiment
Reputation Score = (7 - 1) / 10 = 0.6 → displayed as +60%

How does AI determine sentiment?

The AI model analyzes the context of the mention, not only the fact that the name appears.

Positive:

  • “I recommend [Brand] as the best solution…”
  • “[Brand] stands out for its excellent customer support”

Neutral:

  • “[Brand] is one of the options available on the market”
  • “You can use [Brand] or other alternatives”

Negative:

  • “Users complain about issues with [Brand]”
  • “[Brand] has limited functionality compared with…”

Visual indicators

In GEORate, sentiment is always marked with both color and an icon:

  • 🟢 ↑ Positive
  • ⚪ → Neutral
  • 🔴 ↓ Negative

  1. Monitor alerts for negative mentions — react quickly
  2. Analyze context — check what AI writes about your brand in the Snapshots tab
  3. Build a positive narrative — publish case studies, reviews, and opinions
