Running your first snapshot
A snapshot is a one-time run of a set of prompts against an AI model, followed by analysis of the returned responses.
How do you run a snapshot?
Option A: Full project run
- Open the project page
- Click Run analysis (play button ▶)
- GEORate will automatically run all prompts in the project
Option B: Single prompt
- In the project view, find the selected prompt
- Click the play icon next to that specific prompt
What happens during a snapshot?
1. GEORate sends the prompt to the selected AI model
2. The model generates a response
3. GEORate analyzes the response:
- Detects mentions of your brand and aliases
- Determines the sentiment of each mention
- Identifies ranking positions
- Recognizes entities (competitors, products)
4. The results are saved as a snapshot
5. Dashboard metrics are updated

How long does a snapshot take?
Usually 30–120 seconds per prompt, depending on the AI model and the response length.
Interpreting your first results
After the snapshot finishes, the dashboard will show:
- Visibility Score — overall visibility score (higher = better)
- Reputation Score — ratio of positive to negative mentions
- AI SOV — your share of voice among all mentioned brands
- Alerts — automatic notifications about important changes
